Western Illinois University announces the appointment of Jeff Hancks as Chair of the Department of Counselor Education, College Student Personnel, and Social Work. With a long career in both academic and administrative roles, Hancks brings extensive experience and dedication to his new role, where he will guide the growth and development of these key academic programs. Hancks joined WIU in 2005 as an assistant professor, advancing to associate professor in 2009 and professor in 2014 within the University Libraries. From 2016 to 2019, he served as executive director of the School of Global Education and Outreach and in 2020, he began teaching in the College Student Personnel Program. https://www.wiu.edu/news/newsrelease.php?release_id=20275
The Western Illinois University Social Work program is settling into its new location in Horrabin Hall, highlighted by an open house celebration with faculty and students. Congratulations to our very own Counselor Education Associate Professor - Dr. Beck recognized by WIU College of Education & Human Services with the Highly Impactful Faculty Award. WIU LGBTQ+ Clinic Brings New Opportunity to QC Community
The Western Illinois University Counselor Education and College Student Personnel department has announced the opening of the WIU LGBTQ+ Clinic.
