Centennial Honors College Hall of Fame
To be considered for the selection into the Western Illinois University Centennial Honors College Hall of Fame, nominees must fall into one of the following areas and qualify as described below.
- To be considered, a nominee must fall into at least one of the following categories:
- Been a member of the Centennial Honors College for at least two semesters of their undergraduate career.
- Graduated from Western Illinois University with a GPA of at least 3.6.
- Taught at least one section of an honors course d. Be an outstanding contributor of the Centennial Honors College
- Must have conducted themselves in such a way as to reflect honor on Western Illinois University and the Centennial Honors College, and whose achievements, character, and dedication to Western Illinois University serves as an example to which all students can aspire to emulate.
- A person who is nominated to the Centennial Honors College Hall of Fame does not have to have graduated as an Honors Scholar, so long as their contributions and success in their respective field bring credit to the institution.
- If the nominated person graduated prior to the founding of the Centennial Honors College, they shall be considered so long as they would have been eligible at some point during their undergraduate career.
- There is no minimum window of eligibility, though preference in selection will be given to those at the peak of their respective careers.
- Those nominated as an outstanding contributor to the Centennial Honors College do not need to have been a member of the Centennial Honors College nor do they need to have been eligible.
- To be selected for induction, the nominee must have 80% approval of the selection committee, whose composition will be one representative from each academic college and the Director of the Centennial Honors College.
- Should an inductee’s behavior prove unbecoming of the honor, the University Honors Council shall reserve the right to rescind induction.
